Venice, Italy

Visiting contemporary art museums is one of the things that really stimulates my writer’s creativity. So I relished the chance to spend the morning at the Punta della Dogana, former customs house turned museum to house the collection of Francois Pinault.

Pinault’s collection is one of the largest in the world; only a small percentage can be shown at any one time. The theme of the current exhibit was apparently WHITE–everything shown was that hue.

Alas, I got into a slight bit of trouble while there. What I thought was a bench was in fact, um, an exhibit. (See last photo. Doesn’t that look like a bench for visitors to you?)
