No one guessed our destination, and I’m not really surprised. My two favorite weather apps couldn’t find it, either.
The country is a speck (actually, an archipelago just over a hundred miles square) in the Mediterranean; south of Italy, east of Tunisia, and north of Libya. Because of its location, it’s been ruled by, well, everyone: Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Normans, Sicilians, Spanish, French, British, and the Knights of St. John. They’ve all left traces behind, many of which were readily apparent during Husband’s and my stroll along the seaside of the main island.
