After breakfast of omelette and croissant (how else to start your day in Paris?), Husband and I were off to the Fondation Cartier.
I like how the fashion houses (ex: Cartier, Vuitton, Givenchy, Prada) are giving back by opening museums. Makes me feel a little better about buying their wares.
The Cartier exhibit was especially interesting to me: Beaute Congo 1926-2015. My two stories that were fortunate enough to win the Thriller Award feature Henri Karubje, a Congolese-born NYC detective.
After touring the exhibit, I found a quiet table in the museum courtyard (the weather here is like August; balmy and sunny) and worked on a new story idea for a bit. Nothing inspires like the creativity of others!
